I’m an Oakland-born, Muslim, Nigerian, Black, Woman. I’m heart-forward, a food-lover, an avid traveler, a former NBA nerd (heavy on the former—please don’t test my current knowledge on the subject), & a believer in humanity & doing kind things.
I lived in Brooklyn, New York for most of my 20s & it was the best era of my life. New York is where I truly began to push the envelope & challenge my “norm”. If you’re from a background similar to mine, success equated to becoming a doctor, lawyer, or engineer (solely).
Root of Noor, LLC is truly a culmination of the many ways I feel I’m meant to contribute to the world. Helping folks (myself included) assess & improve their relationships with myriad aspects (family, transitions, work, self, etc.) & aiding organizations in supporting employees in a way I haven’t experienced but know is necessary, is so fulfilling.
Random things: Trader Joe’s Coffee Blast ice cream is my go-to. I think I make people laugh, not in an intentional “that was a good joke way”, but in a “what was that?” way—those who get me, get me. I learned a decent amount of Spanish accidentally.
I’m grateful you’ve stopped by & hope you stay connected!
