At the Root of "Losing" Yourself

Season 1: Episode 3
At the Root of "Losing" Yourself

I wrote a poem when I was in my 10th-grade English class. I wrote, essentially, that our life path is like a circle; & in between our birth & our dying, we’d at some point dedicate a lot of effort to rediscovering whoever it is that we are at the core.

This week’s podcast is a flashback to me preparing for the season of “losing myself” & getting transparent about what I learned & how I uncomfortably navigate this era almost two decades later.

In this episode, we explore the following questions:
1) What are the dangers of succumbing to & staying in the idea of being lost?
2) What’s the connection between losing yourself & perfectionism?
3) Can any good come from “losing” yourself?
